Overlapping Bodies

I decided to overlap the womans body 3 times to give a different dimention to the picture. This piece of work i like very much as it is confusing, however i am able to identify each body.

Life drawing

Materials used: Chalk, charcoal and colours pastels
Life drawing has been an new experience in my life since starting at my new school and i have found that it has helped my drawing skills greatly through out the year. In picture one the concept was to look at the lighting on the womans body and without using contour lines to sharpen off the bodies shapes we were asked to use the white to show the shapes instead. The second picture was more on the idea of using contour lines and not looking at what you aer drawing but more focusing on the womans body and then drawing what you see.

I have used the same process and technique as the previous Spanish skirts, however i have used a different design of the skirt and different colours to show a variety of movements using the different colours.

Cubist skirts

These two pieces of work are part of my coursework for A2. The idea is movement through cubism of the Spanish skirts. I have stenciled the designs of the skirts and then used different colours to overlay some of the shapes and therefore gave the pictures different movements and dimentions.  

Watercolour and pencil drawings

Both these pieces of art work were influenced by an artist by the name of Saul Roberston. Both the pieces represent my life as a South African and my heritage from the 1800 British settlers. This is one of the piece's i have used in my final A2 exam.

This piece of art was influenced by my heritage from the British and African backgrounds. The Arabic scirpt is a symbolic piece of wiritng which i have used in my final piece for my A2 Exam.

#abstract Arabic Script

Size: Roughly A2
Materials used: Ink, Wax, Organza material, Dye
In this piece of art, I was influenced by an artist by the name of Ali Hassan in the design of the art work. However, The use of Organza over the Arabic letters, was influenced by another artists by the name of Mona Hatoum. The Organza has a manuscript printed on it to give the piece of work more meaning.
